Dear Sir/Madam, We write to formally notify you of events that have occurred on site on 10 May 2026 that have impacted the project schedule and commercial position. EXTENSION OF TIME - ADVERSE WEATHER CONDITIONS On 10 May 2026, the site was subjected to cyclone weather conditions that prevented safe operation of works. As a direct result of these adverse weather conditions, 8 hours of productive time was lost as the site was unable to operate during the severe weather event. The Contractor hereby puts the Principal on notice of a potential Extension of Time claim arising from this compensable weather delay. We are preparing formal documentation supported by meteorological data from the Bureau of Meteorology and photographic evidence of site conditions. COMMERCIAL IMPACT - PROJECT PROLONGATION We advise that the project is experiencing significant commercial pressure due to market inflation impacts and extended project duration. The combination of these factors has resulted in margin erosion that is directly affecting resource availability and project viability. The resource constraints being experienced are a direct consequence of the prolonged project timeline and market cost escalation since contract award. We are conducting a detailed analysis of these cost impacts and reserve our rights to claim additional costs associated with project prolongation and market inflation in accordance with the contract provisions. SCHEDULE IMPACT The weather delay compounds existing schedule pressures from the extended project duration. We are updating the project programme to reflect the current position and will provide recovery options with associated cost implications for your consideration. The Contractor reserves the right to claim additional cost and/or time associated with the weather delay event and its impact on project delivery. We will submit formal claims within the contractual timeframes following completion of our analysis. We request your acknowledgment of this notice and advise that we remain available to discuss the matters raised. Yours faithfully, [Contractor Representative]
