Verbal instruction received from Angie Doyle (Client Representative) at 19:55 to relocate digger and perform alternate work. Supervisor notes scope status is uncertain ('might be a variation I'm not sure'). Instruction diverted plant from programmed culvert excavation works.
Client Representative (SpongeBob) verbally instructed all works to cease at 08:30hrs pending Engineer re-testing of ball embedment tests due to discrepancy in results between 01 June and 02 June testing.
Program delay caused by excavator breakdown and unavailability of parts. Three form workers stood idle unable to commence works pending excavation completion. Full day production lost on excavation activity. Delay attributed to parts not being organised/ordered in advance.
Latent site condition encountered at CH 6.500 — hard rock material below RL 142.5 not indicated in contract geotechnical investigation report. Material requires hammer attachment and is causing significant production delay (30% of expected rate). Critical path activity impacted. Initial notice issued per Schedule 3.
Material placement at CH 7.200 proceeding without formal source approval as required by specification. NATA verification compaction testing requested post-placement — results expected within 48hrs. Potential NCR if material fails to meet specification requirements.
Verbal instruction from Roger Rickerby (Superintendent) at 1430 to extend pavement widening 200m past CH 12.000 to tie into McPhee Road junction for traffic safety. Superintendent requested crew to 'just keep going' through tomorrow. No written direction received.
Client Representative Barry Brush verbally instructed additional works to construct new footpath. Client has requested additional 3 days on program. This record is made to document verbal instructions given by the Client Representative. The Contractor reserves the right to claim additional cost and/or time associated with compliance with this instruction.
Verbal instruction to re-align kerb line at chainage 1+400 to avoid existing tree root system. Client Representative directed change on site.
