Dear Sir/Madam, We refer to site conditions experienced on 19 May 2026 and write to formally notify the Principal of a delay event affecting the Accommodation Block E erection works, together with associated cost and programme impacts. 1. Weather Event and Site Impact Overnight rainfall of 38mm rendered site access roads to Block E unworkable until approximately midday, and the crane pad conditions were assessed as too soft to permit safe loadout of materials. As a result, works on the Block E erection sequence were paused, with limited works resuming from approximately 1300 hours. This resulted in an estimated four (4) hours of lost production on the Block E erection sequence. The Contractor is maintaining contemporaneous records of rainfall data, site conditions, and photographic evidence of the unworkable access roads and crane pad to substantiate this event. 2. Notice of Potential Extension of Time The Contractor hereby puts the Principal on notice of a potential Extension of Time claim arising from this weather event and its impact on the Block E erection sequence. The full extent of the critical path impact remains under assessment and will be confirmed once the balance of the week's weather data and site conditions have been observed. A programme analysis demonstrating the impact to the Block E sequence and any flow-on effect to downstream milestones, including practical completion, will be provided in due course. The Contractor reserves all rights under the Contract in respect of this delay event, including entitlement to an extension of time and associated costs. 3. Commercial Impact — Crew Redirection As a direct consequence of the weather-affected conditions, the crew allocated to Block E erection works was stood down from that activity for approximately four (4) hours and redirected to alternative non-critical activities, namely STP commissioning paperwork and internal fit-out works on completed blocks. The Contractor is quantifying the cost impact of this redeployment relative to planned Block E productivity and will retain timesheet records coded to the weather delay period. This cost impact will be incorporated into the Contractor's EOT and associated cost assessment should a formal claim proceed. 4. Reservation of Rights The Contractor reserves the right to claim additional time and cost arising from this delay event, including but not limited to lost productivity, standing time, and any downstream schedule impacts to the Block E erection sequence and subsequent milestones. The Contractor will continue to monitor conditions and provide further updates and supporting documentation as the week's weather data and programme reassessment are finalised.
